Trendupp Awards
Trendupp Awards - The First-Ever Influencers and Content Creators Awards in Nigeria & Africa, now in its fourth edition - seeks to recognize and celebrate the efforts of creatives, content creators, influencers, brands and organizations who have contributed immensely to the social media space in Nigeria.
Trendupp Awards is an initiative of Trendupp Africa - A platform where creatives receive support, publish exclusive content and build direct relationships with their fans across Africa.
Annually Themed 'The Force of Influence', Trendupp Awards is focused on recognising content creators, influencers and brands who have impacted the social media community through creative content, disruptive movements, collaborations & campaigns via Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook.

Background
Content creators work tirelessly to develop creatives to increases their social currency which is almost limited to likes, shares, followings and subscribers all of which can be leveraged to generating income.

Problem
Most Content Creators and Influencers in Nigeria lack proper funding and don’t get recognised or awarded for their craft and creative work.

Trendupp was launched - a platform that enables creatives receive support while publishing exclusive content and building direct relationships with their fans. www.trendupp.com
And further created - Trendupp Awards - an initiative developed to honor creatives and is now officially Nigeria’s first and widely acclaimed award for Influencers and Content Creators. www.trenduppawards.com
We created a unique layout for our design execution on different platforms but we focused more on Instagram where I was more active with the design implementations. We make use of an we called the "Ring" extracted from our statuette to form a consistent ring around our designs to give a classy look and feel to create a lasting impression on any unique viewer of the page on instagram. Result
Over the course of the entire campaign, Trendupp received a total of 1,568 earned media mentions, spanning across online, print and social media platforms
From the 1,568 earned media mentions, Trendupp got an estimated PR value of 125.4 million naira (using the cost of an average post online to be 80,000 hence 80,000 X 1568 = N125,440,000)
Based on brand partnership, the award had access to 22 digital billboards / 15 instore boards across the country for displaying our promotional materials - giving it an estimated PR value of (N66million / N10.5million)
A total of six (9) official press releases were syndicated to 8 leading media web partners - giving us an estimated PR value of (N10.8million)
On social media, the event trended on Twitter; the likes of Lege Miamii and Phynaa trended as a reaction to their announcements as winners, while Daniel Regha trended based on his appearance.
On Twitter, trendupp achieved 94 million (94,001,905) impressions
The hashtag #TrenduppAwards23 reached 54 million (54,076,185) accounts
We reached 111,896 people through the two Twitter Space conversations organised (48,396 and 63,500 people respectively)
13 out of our 16 winners were physically present at the main event to receive their awards
A total of 100 guests at the nomination party & 1,100 physical guests including CEOs, Marketing Directors, Product Leads, nano/micro/macro influencers & content creators were in attendance at the main event
Trendupp Awards was live streamed to over 100,000 viewers across the world via Popcentral TV
We had over 20,000 viewers on Youtube LIVE during the awards
